Reading glasses
Daily life is reflected by macro 2009.3.9
Since about two years ago, I’ve started to get far-sighted. My eyes were originally pretty good, both left and right about 15/20 to about 20/20. But I hear those types tend to become far-sighted. When I’m tired, it’s really bad. I can’t see anything close. I can’t read paper work or play DS games. I take a nap, with the excuse that I’m not able to work unless I rest my eyes. Also, when filling out entry documents on the airplane, I can’t see it at all. My writing looks like chicken scratches, with the help of the turbulence.
I put it off at first, but eventually decided to wear glasses for far-sightedness. This is wonderful. I can see really well. The feeling of something close to me emerges clearly. It’s similar to looking a scenery over and over through the lens of a camera. Though it’s just looking at ordinary things, there’s an extraodinary feeling in the air; like looking at a macro image. When your vision changes, your awareness level goes up. Because of that, the true meaning behind the feel of the material will change as well.
When coming up with great ideas, but later looking at them and saying, “What is this?”, I put on my reading glasses. I can clearly see the type in project plans and also see where things are wrong. The good parts lurking inside come to the surface. I say glasses are not only for eyesight, but also for my thoughts.
