MACRO
What I Saw in Macro Photography 2009.5.3
The previous "reDREAM" plot was something I started to write for a certain project. It's been a long time since then. When I read it over again, the little details were lacking....(note to self)
I was thinking, the point I was trying to get across is that the main character didn't know whether he was in the virtual world via implanted data in his brain, or if he was in the real world as a soldier on a mission without any regret. I like the notion that he could be reckless and bad-mannered in the virtual world, but those actions also affecting the real world. Like what goes around comes around. Like MMORPGs, action of immoral behavior somewhat reflects one's true private life....something like that anyway.
In the meantime, I read my friend's blog (a programmer who I've worked with for about 20 years), and was influenced by the macro photos he takes and puts up on his blog. So today, I took a macro photo of a flower during a walk with my dog. My compact digital camera is about 3 years old, so I thought it wouldn't do a good job, but I was impressed that the photo came out unexpectedly well.
The photo to the left was taken at a location a little ways from the road, but the bottom photo is along side of it. It's an alley where only a few cars go by, but there was dust-like substance on it. Could it be from exhaust? I really don't care to be breathing that in.
When taking macro photos, there's so much potential in what can be seen.
